Forty-two-year-old Raymond Bennett otherwise called ‘Rayto’, farmer of Mile End District, St. Ann was arrested and charged with Wounding with Intent after a squabble in Vineyard district, St. Elizabeth committed on Friday, September 01, 2023.
Reports from the Black River Police are that Bennett and another man had a dispute about crabs when Bennett used a machete to inflict chop wounds to the other man. He was taken to hospital where he was admitted for treatment.
Bennett was subsequently arrested in St. Ann and later transported to the St. Elizabeth Division where he was questioned and charged for the offence.
He is to appear before the Black River Parish Court on Wednesday, January 17.
