FIREARM AND AMMUNITION SEIZED, ONE MAN IN CUSTODY
The Kingston Central Police have seized a Sarsilmaz 9mm pistol with a magazine containing nine 9mm cartridges along Beckford Street in the parish on Friday, May 09.
Reports from the City Centre Police are that at about 11:50 p.m., a police team was on mobile patrol in the area. Upon reaching a section of Beckford Street, a man was observed acting in a manner that aroused the suspicion of the police. The man was apprehended, searched and the firearm was found in his waistband.
The man was arrested in connection with the seizure. However, his identity is being withheld pending further investigations.
