The Santa Cruz Police have seized one 9mm pistol with a magazine containing three 9mm rounds of ammunition on Institution Drive, Santa Cruz in St. Elizabeth on Saturday, January 20.
Reports are that about 11:00 a.m., a team of officers was conducting a vehicular check point operation in the area when the driver of a Honda Civic motorcar was signalled to stop, with two men aboard. The vehicle and its occupants were searched and the weapon found in the possession of one of the men.
Both suspects were taken into custody; however, their identities are being withheld pending further investigations.
