FIVE MEN ARRESTED IN COCAINE BUST AT UPPER ST. ANDREW RESIDENCE

A team of police officers from the Firearms and Narcotics Investigation Division (FNID) within the Counter Terrorism and Organised Crime Investigation Branch (C-TOC), conducted an anti-narcotics operation at a location in Kingston, resulting in the arrest of five male Jamaican nationals and the seizure of a significant quantity of substance believed to be cocaine.

On Tuesday, August 6, 2024, officers from FNID with support from other units within C-TOC raided premises at an upper St. Andrew address, resulting in the arrest of five persons and the seizure of a number of knitted bags believed to contain cocaine.

The substance weighs 2,526.4 kilograms and has an estimated street value of $75,792,000 USD.

The contents of the knitted bags are being processed and further updates will be provided. This operation further demonstrates the ongoing efforts of the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) to combat narcotics and firearms trafficking in Jamaica.
