FOUR HANOVER MEN CHARGED FOLLOWING A BIKE THEFT
Four Hanover men and a teenage boy were charged with Robbery with Aggravation and Receiving Stolen Property following two incidents on the Sandy Bay main road and Zion District in Hanover on Wednesday, July 16, and Wednesday, July 23.
Charged are:
- 19-year-old Zayeshaun Donalds,
- 19-year-old Kimmarny Bernard, otherwise called ‘EJ,’ and a 17-year-old boy, of Sandy Bay addresses,
- 23-year-old Kevin Jarrett, otherwise called ‘Chris’ and ‘Black Star,’ and
- 18-year-old rafter Kajay McKogg, otherwise called ‘Jerry,’ both of Zion district.
Reports from the Lucea Police, are that at about 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 16, Donalds, Bernard, and the teen allegedly approached a man on the roadway and robbed him of his motorcycle.
A report was made to the police and an investigation was launched into the matter.
Following the investigation, Donalds was apprehended on Wednesday, July 23, and led the lawmen to retrieve the motorcycle at Jarrett’s and McKogg’s house in Zion District. The three men were taken into custody and charged after the complainant positively identified the recovered property.
Bernard and the teen were apprehended during an operation on Saturday, July 26, after Donalds identified them as his accomplices. They were subsequently charged.
A court date is being finalised for them.
