Hanover Mechanic Faces Gun-Related Charges
Lawmen assigned to the St. James Policing Division have charged 41-year-old Aston Hayles of Crabwood district, Hopewell, Hanover, with Possession of a Prohibited Weapon and Unauthorised Possession of Ammunition following an incident in Rose Heights, St. James, on Thursday, March 19.
Reports from the police state that at about 12:15 p.m., officers conducted a targeted operation at Hayles’ residence, during which a Toyota Corolla motor car was searched. During the search, a firearm along with several rounds of ammunition was found concealed in the gear shifter.
Hayles was arrested and later charged following a question-and-answer session. His court date is being finalised.
