HIGGLER CHARGED FOLLOWING FIREARM SEIZURE IN TRELAWNY
Thirty-four-year-old Shawn Hesnop, a higgler of Davidson Drive, Kingston has been charged with Possession of Prohibited Weapon and Unauthorised Possession of Ammunition following a firearm seizure in Rock District, Falmouth, Trelawny on Wednesday, October 9.
Reports from the Falmouth police are that about 8:00 a.m., a police team acting on information intercepted a Toyota Noah motor vehicle, operating as a taxi, with Hesnop aboard. The police conducted a search of the motor vehicle during which a Browning Single Action handgun with a magazine containing twelve 9mm cartridges was found under the seat where Hesnop was sitting. He was subsequently arrested and charged.
His court date is being finalised.
