HIGGLER CHARGED WITH MURDER IN ST. ANN

Twenty-five-year-old Demario Ferguson otherwise called ‘Mari,’ a higgler of Clark’s Lane, Bounty Hall, Trelawny has been charged with Murder following a stabbing incident at Runaway Bay, St Ann on Wednesday, January 14.

Dead is 49-year-old taxi operator Paul Miller of Mount Edgecombe, Runaway Bay, St Ann.

Reports from the St. Ann’s Bay Police are that at about 2:00 a.m., Ferguson had an altercation during which Miller was stabbed in his neck. Miller was assisted to the hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. Following the stabbing, Ferguson and three other companions fled the scene.

Following further investigation, Ferguson was charged after a question-and-answer session.

His court date is being finalised.
