‘HOT WATER’ FACING GUN-RELATED CHARGED

Twenty-seven-year-old Javon Richards, otherwise called ‘Hot Water’ of Wavel Avenue, Kingston 11, has been charged with Robbery with Aggravation, Possession of a Prohibited Weapon and Using a Firearm to Commit a Felony following an incident in the parish on Saturday, April 26.

Reports from the Port Maria Police are that at about 11:45 p.m., a man was standing in a parking lot on his phone when he was approached by Richards, who brandished a handgun and reportedly robbed him of his iPhone 12 cellular phone valued at JMD 175,000. He then made his escape on foot in the area.

On Friday, May 2, Richards once again attempted to rob another man, and an alarm was raised by residents who had taken hold of Richards. The police were then summoned, and on their arrival, he was taken into custody and was later charged on Monday, May 5.

His court date is being arranged.
