‘KING’ CHARGED WITH BURGLARY

Detectives assigned to the St. Elizabeth Police Division charged 30-year-old Jermaine Bailey, otherwise called ‘King’, a farmer of the Rocky Hill district, St. Elizabeth, with Burglary in relation to an incident that occurred on Kendal Road, Mandeville in the parish on Friday, August 1.

Reports from the Mandeville Police are that at about 12:29 a.m., Bailey broke into a woman’s house while she was away. She received a notification on her cellular phone indicating that a break-in was in progress at her residence. At about 10:00 on Thursday, August 14, a report was made to the police, and an investigation was launched.

During the investigation, it was revealed that Bailey  gained entry to the house by prying open the lower section of a grill and  then entered the washroom. A closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage was obtained, which captured Bailey during the commission of the crime. On Monday, October 6, he admitted to the act. He was subsequently charged after he was interviewed in the presence of his attorney.

His court date has not been finalised.
