Kingston man charged with murder

Thirty-three-year-old  Mark Beckford a welder of  D’Aguilar Road, Kingston 2 was charged with Murder, Possession of Prohibited Weapon and Unauthorized Possession of Ammunition following an incident which occurred in his community on Saturday, September 9, 2023.

Dead is Khalifah Reddicks  of  Rusden Road, Kingston 2.

Reports are that about 8:50 p.m., Reddicks was working  along  D’Aguilar Road when he was pounced upon by Beckford  and another man. The men brandished firearms and opened gunfire hitting him multiple times to the upper body; before escaping on foot in the area. He was assisted to the hospital where he was pronounced dead whilst undergoing treatment.

Beckford was later arrested and charged in relation to the incident following an eyewitness statement.

His court date is being arranged.
