KINGSTON MAN CHARGED WITH MURDER

The Half Way Tree Police have charged 49-year-old Horace Jones, a welder of Penrith Road, Cross Roads, Kingston 5, with Murder following an incident along Slipe Road, Cross Roads, Kingston 5, on Sunday, March 02.

Jones was apprehended shortly after the incident, which unfolded at about 6:10 a.m. Reports are that Jones had an argument with another man, whom he accused of stealing his cell phone. During the altercation, it is alleged that Jones pulled a knife from his waistband and used it to stab the other man multiple times.

The police were alerted, and upon their arrival, an unidentified male clad in a black jacket, brown t-shirt, brown pants, and crocs, with an amputated right foot, was seen on the ground in a pool of blood; he was assisted to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Jones was later apprehended and subsequently charged after a question-and-answer session in the presence of his attorney.

His court date is being finalised.
