KINGSTON MAN FACES MULTIPLE CHARGES
Assault at Common Law, Possession of a Prohibited Weapon and Using a Firearm to Commit a Felony charges have been laid against 26-year-old Jason Smith of Lagos Drive, Kingston 11, following an incident along Keino Path, Delacree Pen, Kingston 11, on December 28, 2024.
Reports from the Hunts Bay Police are that at about 8:30 p.m., Smith and another man brandishing firearms approached a man standing at his gate. The man, in a bid to escape injuries, ran into his house.
A report was made to the police and an investigation launched. Smith was later apprehended and taken into custody, where he was subsequently charged after a question-and-answer session in the presence of his attorney.
His court date is being finalised.
