Sleuths assigned to the Kingston Western Police Division have charged a 33-year-old man with several offenses following an incident on Tenth Street in the parish on Wednesday, January 29.
He is Anthony Brown of Third Street, Kingston 12. The charges laid against him are Possession of a Prohibited Weapon, Unauthorized Possession of Ammunition and Dealing in Ammunition.
Reports from the Denham Town Police are that at about 12:00 p.m., a team from the Specialized Operations Branch carried out a targeted raid at the aforementioned address, during which a search was conducted. The search yielded three (3) magazines with three (3). 40 rounds that were found in the passageway of the dwelling. An empty magazine in a bag and twenty (20) 9mm rounds were also found.
Brown was subsequently arrested and charged after a question-and-answer session in the presence of his attorney.
His court date is being finalized.
