
LIFE GUARD CHARGED WITH ASSAULT OCCASIONING GRIEVOUS BODILY HARM
Twenty-eight-year-old Nagano East, otherwise called ‘Knockis,’ a lifeguard of Cornwall Street in Falmouth, Trelawny, has been charged with Assault Occasioning Grievous Bodily Harm following an incident at a business establishment in the parish on Wednesday, March 25.
Reports from the Falmouth Police indicate that at approximately 3:00 a.m., an argument developed between the complainant and a man at a nightclub in the parish. During the altercation, the man allegedly used a bottle to strike the complainant on the head, causing swelling and pain. It was further reported that East, along with other men, joined in the assault, which resulted in the complainant losing a tooth.
Following the incident, a report was made to the police, and the complainant was taken to hospital, where he received treatment.
East was subsequently arrested and charged based on a statement provided by the complainant.
His court date is currently being finalised.
