Lucky charged with wounding with intent and shooting with intent

After more than a year of investigations, detectives in the St. Andrew North Division have laid charges against 19-year-old Jason Heath, otherwise called ‘Lucky’ of  Sunrise Crescent, Kingston 19 for his suspected involvement a March 2023 shooting incident at the intersection of Chancery Street and Knightsdale Drive in the parish.

Reports from the Constant Spring Police are that at about 7:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 23, Heath allegedly drove a motorcycle to a bus stop on Chancery Street, opened gunfire at a man and then escaped.

The police were summoned and on their arrival, the man was seen with several gunshot wounds. He was assisted to the hospital, where he was treated and released.

Detectives followed several lines of investigation and later arrested Heath on Wednesday, July 31, following which he was charged. His court date is being finalized.
