MAJOR ST ANN OPERATION NETS THREE FIREARMS

The St. Ann Police Division is reporting a major success after an intelligence-led operation in Parry Town, Ocho Rios, in the parish, on Monday, November 24, that resulted in the seizure of three firearms and over 100 rounds of ammunition. This marks an important step in the division’s continued push to disrupt criminal networks and strengthen public safety.

Reports are that at about 5:30 a.m., lawmen conducted operations at two premises in the community. A Springfield .45 pistol along with a magazine, and thirty-three rounds of .45 ammunition and a Gamo Swarm Maxim G2 air rifle were seized at the first location. A search of the second address yielded a Stoeger 9mm semi-automatic pistol affixed with a magazine and eighty-seven 9mm rounds.

Four persons, including a female, were taken into custody following the seizures. Their identities are being withheld pending further investigation.

The removal of three firearms represents a significant disruption to criminal activity in the parish and increases the safety of residents.
