Twenty-five-year-old Shannel Duffus, a mason of Old Hope Road, Kingston 5 has been slapped with several charges following an incident in Pines Boulevard, Karachi, Kingston 6 on Tuesday, November 21, 2023.
He was charged with Possession of Prohibited Weapon, Using A Firearm To Commit A Felony, Assault At Common Law And Robbery With Aggravation.
Reports from the Half Way Tree Police are that about 12:55 p.m., a woman was leaving a bank in the Corporate area, when Duffus and another man pounced upon her with a firearm demanding her properties. He robbed her of her handbag before escaping in the area. An investigation commenced and on Friday, February 02, Duffus was arrested during a Vehicular Check Point on Waterloo Road in the parish. He was subsequently charged.
A court date for him is being finalised.
