Twenty-one-year-old Omario Whyte of St. Simon district Hanover has been charged with Housebreak-in and Larceny and Malicious Destruction of Property following an incident on Friday, August 9.
Reports from the Lucea police are that the complainant was at her business place when she and Whyte got into a dispute. During the dispute Whyte threatened to break into her house and throw away her belongings. The complainant was notified by a neighbor about 4:20 p.m., on the day in question; that Whyte ransacked her house.
The lawmen were contacted. Upon arrival of the police an investigating led to the discovery of damaged a fan worth $7000 JMD, a television valued at $30,000JMD and cash amounting to $150,000 JMD was reported missing.
Whyte was subsequently charged with the offences on Monday August 12. His court date is scheduled for Thursday August 20 at the Lucea Parish Court.
