MAN CHARGED WITH MULTIPLE OFFENCES IN ST. CATHERINE

Forty-two-year-old Jeffery Thomas, labourer of Savannah District, Wakefield, Linstead, St. Catherine, is faced with multiple charges following an incident in his community on Tuesday, March 19.

Reports from the Linstead police are that about 2:30 p.m., two men were conducting business in the area when they were approached by Thomas and another man who brandished a handgun. They proceeded to rob the men of a Ramco motorcycle valued at JMD $80,000, electronics valued at JMD $65,000 and JMD $4,400 in cash before making their escape in the area.

A report was made and Thomas was later arrested and positively identified during an ID parade.

He was thereafter charged with Robbery with Aggravation, Possession of Prohibited Weapon, Using A Prohibited Weapon To Commit A Felony on Saturday, August 3, 2024.

Thomas’ court date is scheduled for Friday, August 9, at the St. Catherine Parish Court.
