An investigation into the shooting death of a goat farmer in Caymanas Estates in St. Catherine over two years ago has culminated with the arrest and charge of a 21-year-old man.
The man charged—Jaydon Wilson, otherwise called ‘Jay Bad’ of Caymanas Estate, St. Catherine—was apprehended in an operation on Friday, September 6, 2024. Detectives subsequently made arrangements for him to be interviewed in the presence of his attorney. Following the interview, he was charged with several offences:
- Murder
- Possession of a Prohibited Weapon
- Unauthorised Possession of Ammunition
- Wounding with Intent
The charges stem from allegations that on Monday, May 3, 2021, Wilson and another man attacked two men at a house in the same community and shot them several times. One of the injured men, 40-year-old goat farmer, Kevin Morris, otherwise called ‘Kill Bill’, later succumbed to his injuries.
Wilson will answer to the charges laid against him in the St. Catherine Parish Court on Friday, September 27.
The search for his accomplice continues.
