Man Charged with Possession of Prohibited Weapon Trelawny

Thirty-two-year-old Jason Harris, a policeman of  Grove Road Kingston 10 St. Andrew has been charged with Possession of a Prohibited Weapon following an incident on Rock main road, Thursday August 15.

Reports from the Falmouth Police is that around 8:20 a.m., lawmen were at a vehicular check point along the main road when they signaled a motorist to stop. The man obeyed. The lawmen proceeded to conduct a search of the vehicle and its occupants. During the search the police discovered an imitation firearm in Harris’ waistband.

Harris was arrested and brought to the Falmouth Police Station where he was subsequently charged.

He is to appear before the court on Friday, August 16.
