MANCHESTER MAN CHARGED AFTER ASSAULTING A CONSTABLE
A Manchester man has been charged with Assault Occasioning Actual Bodily Harm following an incident at a police station in the parish on Wednesday, December 31, 2025.
He is 42-year-old Trevor Johnson, a resident of Lower Christiana, in Manchester.
Reports from the Mandeville Police are that at about 11:15 p.m., Johnson was brought to the station by citizens after he became intoxicated and was behaving disorderly. While at the station, he was instructed to sit, but he became boisterous and attacked the constable. He was subdued with the assistance of other police personnel, following which the officer complained of feeling severe pain in his lower back. He was assisted to the medical facility for treatment, and Johnson was subsequently charged for the above offence.
He is to appear at the Mandeville Parish Court on Wednesday, January 07.
