MANCHESTER MAN CHARGED WITH HOUSE BREAKING AND LARCENY
Detectives from the Manchester Policing Division have charged 21-year-old Kamali Whyte of Silent Hill District, Manchester, with House Breaking and Larceny following an incident in his community between Tuesday, March 24 and Wednesday, March 25.
Reports are that at about 6:40 a.m., Whyte allegedly removed windows from a man’s home and stole several items of value while he was asleep. Upon waking, the man noticed that the glass window panes from one of the rooms in the house were missing.
An alarm was raised, after which the police were summoned and an investigation was launched. Whyte was apprehended in a neighbouring community with the stolen items and was subsequently arrested.
On Monday, March 30, Whyte was formally charged after a question-and-answer session in the presence of his attorney.
His court date is being finalised.
