MANCHESTER UPHOLSTERER CHARGED FOLLOWING FIREARM SEIZURE
Twenty-one-year-old Rasihwah Martin, otherwise called ‘Ishah,’ an upholsterer of Highway Drive, Mandeville, Manchester, has been charged with Possession of a Prohibited Weapon following a seizure on 14th Street, Greenvale, Manchester, on Saturday, December 06.
Reports from the Mandeville Police are that at about 3:25 a.m., a team on operation in the area observed Martin acting in a manner that aroused their suspicions. On the approach of the lawmen, he dropped an object and then fled to a densely vegetated area. The item was retrieved and found to be a Sig Sauer 9mm pistol.
Following an investigation, Martin was taken into custody on Thursday, December 18, after he reported to the station on condition of bail in a separate matter. He was charged after a question-and-answer session in the presence of two Justices of the Peace.
A court date is being finalised for him.
