‘NIGHT TIME’ FACING GUN RELATED CHARGES
Thirty-three-year-old Dowayne Edwards, otherwise called ‘Night Time’, a labourer of High Mountain district, Bog Walk, St Catherine, was charged with Assault at Common Law and Possession of Prohibited Weapon following an incident in Princess Field in the parish on Sunday, June 22.
Reports from the Bog Walk Police are that at about 11:00 p.m., Edwards and the complainant were engaged in an argument during which he pulled a firearm and pointed it in the complainant’s face. He also proceeded to utter threatening words to her.
A report was made, and Edwards turned himself in to the police the following day. He was charged on Sunday, June 29, following a question-and-answer session in the presence of his attorney.
He is set to appear before the Spanish Town Parish Court on Friday, July 4.
