POLICE SEIZE FIFTH FIREARM AS INVESTIGATIONS CONTINUE INTO FOILED MURDER PLOT

Police have seized an additional firearm following Monday’s foiled murder plot on Jacks Hill Road in St. Andrew. The police theorize that this firearm may be linked to the incident, which brings the total number of weapons seized in the ongoing investigation to five.
In a secondary operation conducted today, Tuesday, July 22, between 2:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. along Jacks Hill Road, investigators discovered a Sig Sauer 9mm pistol with 15 rounds of ammunition.

On Monday, July 21 a confrontation ensued between the police and armed men who were contracted to carry out a murder on Jacks Hill Road. The confrontation resulted in five men being fatally shot and the initial seizure of four firearms. A sixth man managed to escape from the scene.
The police are renewing their appeal for Courtney Ashley, also known as ‘Bloodstain’, to report to the Counter-Terrorism and Organized Crime Investigations Branch (C-TOC).
