RECORDING ARTISTE CHARGED FOLLOWING BREACHES OF THE FIREARMS ACT
A St Ann recording artiste was slapped with Possession of Prohibited Weapon and Unauthorised Possession of Ammunition charges following the seizure of a firearm and several rounds of ammunition on Middle Street, Ocho Rios, in the parish on Tuesday, August 26.
He is 31-year-old Kimar Herman, otherwise called ‘Cray Fully’, of Mammee Bay, St Ann’s Bay, in the parish.
Reports from the Ocho Rios Police are that at about 7:25 p.m., lawmen on patrol in the area observed Herman with a bag across his chest and another man walking along the roadway. Both men were stopped and searched. During the search a firearm and three .380 rounds of ammunition were found in Herman’s bag.
The firearm and ammunition were seized, and he was taken into custody, where he was subsequently charged.
His court date is being arranged.
