ROBERT BELL DENIED BAIL FOR ASSAULT ON NURSE
Sixty-five-year-old Robert Bell, the businessman accused in connection with a viral video depicting the assault of a nurse on Tuesday, May 13, was denied bail when he appeared in the Gun Court on Wednesday, May 21.
Bell is facing charges of Assault Occasioning Actual Bodily Harm, Assault with Intent to Cause Grievous Bodily Harm, Assault at Common Law, Possessing a Firearm with Intent to Commit a First Schedule Offence, and Possession of a Firearm with Intent to Cause Injuries.
On Tuesday, May 13, the nurse was en route to work when her vehicle was impeded by a car driven by Mr. Bell. A dispute ensued between them, during which the nurse was physically assaulted multiple times.
On Wednesday, May 14, Bell was apprehended by the police and was subsequently charged following a question-and-answer interview conducted in the presence of his attorney.
His next court date is Friday, June 20.
