November 30, 2021- The efforts of heightened operational activities are yielding results. In the last 24 hours, one illegal firearm and over 26 rounds of ammunition have been seized. Four persons, including a teen, were arrested in connection with the seizure.
In St. Catherine South, the police arrested three men, including a teenage boy during a stop and search operation. Reports are that the vehicle armed aboard was driving around in Portmore, before being intercepted by the police. The two hoodlums, who robbed several persons of their electronic devices and other items, were taken into custody. During a search, one Glock pistol with nineteen 9mm rounds of ammunition was seized.
Meanwhile, a joint police-military operation in the St. Andrew North Division led to the seizure of 7 rounds of ammunition and the arrest of one man.
Their identities are being withheld pending further investigation.
