SIXTY-ONE-YEAR-OLD REGISTRAR FACES MULTIPLE GUN CHARGES
Detectives attached to the St Catherine North Criminal Investigations Branch (CIB) have charged an elderly man with Unauthorised Possession of a Prohibited Weapon, Failure to Conceal Firearm in a Public Place, Using a Firearm to Commit a Felony and Breaches of the Terms and Conditions of Firearms Authorisation following an incident at a health centre in Kitson Town, St Catherine.
Charged is 61-year-old Patrick Henry, a registrar of Belleview Heights, Kitson Town in the parish.
Reports from the Spanish Town Police are that at about 9:40a.m., Henry and a woman got into an argument, during which Henry raised his shirt and showed her his firearm whilst threatening her.
A report was subsequently made to the police, and Henry was later apprehended and informed of the offences. He was transported to the station, where he was formally charged.
He is to appear in St Catherine Parish court on Friday, September 05.
