ST. ANDREW MAN CHARGED WITH SHOP BREAKING AND LARCENY
Twenty-three-year-old Christopher Edwards, a production worker of Seaview Gardens, Kingston 11, was charged with Shop Breaking and Larceny following an incident on Retirement Road, Kingston 5, on Friday, August 26.
Reports from Half Way Tree Police are that a woman securely locked the establishment on Friday and went home. She returned the following day and discovered that the lock on the door had been tampered with. She raised an alarm, and Edwards was seen attempting to break into the register and removing a cell phone from the establishment.
The police were alerted, and an investigation was launched into the matter. Edwards was later taken into custody and charged following a question and answer session in the presence of his attorney.
His court date is being finalised.
