ST. ANN MAN CHARGED FOR BREACHES UNDER THE FIREARMS ACT
The St. Ann Police have charged 33-year-old Adrian Beaumont, otherwise known as ‘Rudy’ or ‘Ratty’ of Lillyfield district, Bamboo, St Ann with Possession of a Prohibited Weapon, Using a Prohibited Weapon to Commit a Felony and Assault at Common Law following an incident on Canaan Road, Bamboo in the parish, on Friday, September 19.
Reports from the Bamboo Police are that at about 11:30 a.m., Beaumont pointed a firearm at a man and threatened to shoot him. However, the man managed to escape unhurt.
Following a report into the incident, an investigation was launched, and Beaumont was arrested.
He was charged on Saturday, October 4, after a question-and-answer session was conducted.
A court date is being finalised for him.
