St Ann Man Charged with Burglary and Wounding with Intent

ST ANN MAN CHARGED WITH BURGLARY AND LARCENY

Thirty-eight-year-old Kemar York, a labourer, of Landlewy, St Thomas, has been charged with Burglary and Wounding with Intent following an incident in Farm Town Discovery Bay St. Ann on Saturday, October 5.

Reports from the Discovery Bay police are that at about 3:25 a.m., a woman was home when she heard sounds coming from her front door. She went to make checks and saw York, who was known to her. York kicked the door open and attacked her with a knife, which he used to stab her on her right thigh, causing a wound that bled.

An alarm was raised, and residents accosted the man and summoned the police. Upon their arrival, York and the woman were taken to the hospital, where the woman was treated and released. York later arrested and charged.
