ST. CATHERINE ACCOUNTANT TECHNICIAN CHARGED
Possession of a Prohibited Weapon, Using a Firearm to Commit a Schedule Offence and Assault at Common Law charges have been laid against an accountant technician following an incident in Sydenham Villa, Spanish Town, in the parish on Sunday, August 03.
Charged is 37-year-old Sean Ankle of Willowdene Thruway, Spanish Town, St Catherine.
Reports from the Spanish Town Police are that at about 11:20 p.m., Ankle and an accomplice approached a man while he was standing along the roadway, and an argument developed between them. It is alleged that during the confrontation, Ankle brandished a firearm, pointed it at the man and threatened to kill him. The man managed to escape unharmed and reported the matter to the police.
An investigation followed, and Ankle was taken into custody on Monday, August 11. He was subsequently charged following a question and answer session in the presence of his attorney.
Sean Ankle is scheduled to appear in the St Catherine Parish Court on Tuesday, September 16.
