St. Elizabeth Businessman Faces Assault Charges

Twenty-six-year-old Miguel Myrie a businessman of Santa Cruz, St. Elizabeth have been charged with Assault Occasioning Bodily Harm following an incident in Lacovia , St. Elizabeth on Saturday, September 14.

Reports from the St. Elizabeth police are that at about 5:00p.m., on the date mentioned above Myrie and a woman with whom he is intimately involved got into an argument. During the altercation, Myrie allegedly slapped the woman in her face which caused swelling.

The matter was reported to the police by the woman, and was Myrie later apprehended.

He was subsequently charged based on the complainant’s statement and a question-and-answer session.

A court date for him is being finalised.
