ST JAMES MAN CHARGED FOR BREACHES UNDER THE FIREARM’S ACT
Twenty-one-year-old, Timoy Foote a vendor of Crawford Street, Mt. Salem, St. James has been charged with Possession of a Prohibited Weapon, Using a Firearm to Commit a Felony and Robbery with Aggravation following an incident on Fustic Road, Montego Bay, St. James on Friday, October 4.
Reports from the Montego Bay Police are that at about 1:30 p.m., the complainant was at her place of business when Foote came to the above-mentioned location. Foote brandished a firearm and proceeded to rob the complainant of items including cash and a cell phone amounting to $80,000.00 JMD.
A report was made to the police, and Foote was arrested during an operation. On Friday, October 11, he was pointed out on an identification parade and was subsequently charged on Monday, October 14.
A court date for him is being finalized.
