May 3, 2025- Officers assigned to the St James Policing Division have charged 21-year-old Byron Kidd, a labourer of Shoes Arcade, Montego Bay, St James, with Wounding with Intent following an incident in the parish on Monday, April 28.
Reports from the Montego Bay Police are that at about 7:00 p.m., Kidd and another man had an argument that stemmed from monies won on a poker machine. During the altercation, Kidd reportedly used a ratchet knife to inflict stab wounds to the abdomen and chest of the man.
Kidd then fled the scene on foot in the area. The injured man was taken to the hospital by a passer-by, where he was treated and admitted.
The matter was reported to the police, and Kidd was arrested after turning himself in to the police.
On Thursday, May 01, Kidd was charged following a question-and-answer session in the presence of his attorney.
A court date for him is being arranged.
