Detectives assigned to the St. Mary Criminal Investigations Branch (C.I.B) have laid several charges against 27-year-old Bobby Baillou a farmer of Interboreale, St. Mary in relation to a Tuesday, March 26 shooting incident in his community.
He has been charged with Wounding with Intent, Possession of a Prohibited Weapon, Using a Firearm to Commit a Felony and Unauthorised Possession of Ammunition.
Reports from the police are that about 11:00 p.m., a man was walking home when he was pounced upon by Baillou, who brandished a firearm and opened gunfire at him. The man ran in a bid to escape injury however, he was chased and shot multiple times. The injured man was transported to hospital where he was treated and admitted.
Baillou was deported to Jamaica from the Dominican Republic on Tuesday, April 23 where he was charged after a Warrant on Information was executed on him.
He is scheduled to appear in the St. Mary Parish Court on Thursday, May 02.
