‘SUGAR’ CHARGED WITH BURGLARY AND LARCENY

Detectives assigned to the St. Ann Policing Division have charged a man with Burglary and Larceny following an incident in Hartland Estate, Priory, St. Ann, on Thursday, December 11.

Charged is Kevon Higgins, otherwise called ‘Sugar’ of Lewis district, in St Ann.

Reports from the St Ann’s Bay Police are that at about 3:30 a.m., a woman awoke from her sleep and discovered that the insect screen on the bedroom window was missing and alerted her partner. Further checks were made, and they realised that the house had been broken into and the keys to their vehicles were missing. The vehicles were checked, and it was revealed that culprits had entered, ransacked, and stolen $12,914 USD, a power bank, and two credit cards.

A report was made to the police, and an investigation was launched. Higgins was subsequently taken into custody after the stolen items were found in his possession. He was charged on Friday, December 19, after he confessed to committing the crime.

A court date is being finalised for him.
