‘SUKKY’ FACING GUN-RELATED CHARGES

Detectives attached to the St. Andrew South Criminal Investigations Branch (CIB) have charged 37-year-old Deandre Lindo, otherwise called ‘Sukky,’ a maintenance worker of Princess Street, Kingston, following an incident in his community on Thursday, February 06.

He has been charged with Possession of a Prohibited Weapon, Possessing a Firearm with Intent to Inflict Injury, Use of a Firearm to Commit a Felony and Assault at Common Law.

Reports from the Hunts Bay Criminal Investigations Branch (CIB) are that at about 7:00 p.m., the complainants and Lindo got involved in a verbal altercation, during which Lindo allegedly left and returned with a firearm. He then reportedly opened gunfire, after which he fled the scene.

A report was made to the police, and Lindo was later accosted. He was formerly charged after a question-and-answer session.

His court date is being finalised.
