SUPERMARKET WORKER SLAPPED WITH GUN-RELATED CHARGES

A 21-year-old supermarket worker had several gun-related charges laid against him following a shooting incident along Fitzgerald Avenue, Kingston 13, on Monday, March 10.

Charged with Wounding with Intent, Shooting with Intent, Possession of Prohibited Weapon, Possession of Prohibited Ammunition and Using a Firearm to Commit a Felony is 21-year-old Imani Daley of Hopewell Road, Waterford, St Catherine.

Reports from the Hunts Bay Police are that at about 9:07 p.m., Daley, armed with a firearm, pounced upon a man and opened gunfire at him. The man ran in a bid to escape injuries, but he was chased and shot. A woman who witnessed the episode and made an attempt to distract Daley was also shot at; however, she was not injured.

A report was made to the police, and Daley was taken into custody during an operation. He was charged on Monday, March 10, following a question-and-answer interview in the presence of his attorney.

A court date is being prepared for him.
