A fifteen-year-old student of 3 East, Greater Portmore, St Catherine has been charged Shop Breaking and Larceny following his involvement in the robbery of a restaurant in his community between Saturday, November 11 and Sunday, November 12.
Reports from the police are that about between 10:30 p.m and 8:30 a.m., the teen and other persons, gained entry of the business establishment and stole Five Thousand Jamaican dollars ($5,000.00) JMD, One Black Samsung Tablet and assorted liquor valued at about One Hundred and Sixteen Thousand Jamaican Dollars ($116,000.00) before making their good escape.
The teen was apprehended by the police on Tuesday, November 14 and was subsequently charged. He is set to appear in the St. Catherine Parish Court on Tuesday, November 21.
Some of the stolen items were retrieved.
