Detectives assigned to the St. Mary Division charged three men, and a woman have been charged with Shooting with intent, possession of prohibited weapon, unauthorized possession of ammunition and using firearm to commit a felony following an incident in Nutfield, Islington in the parish on Saturday, September 7.
They are 40-year-old Dacia Wilmot of Nutfield, 24-year-old Hananiah Holdham, security of Tulloch Road, 23-year-old Junior McKie otherwise called ‘cardboard’, auto body man of Sports Road and 38-year-old Maurice Wilmot, carwash operator of Nutfield all in Islington, St. Mary.
Reports are that at about 2:45 a.m., lawmen were on patrol on White Hall main road, when they saw a Toyota Axio motor car with Wilmot, Holdham, McKie. The driver was signalled to stop. However, he disobeyed. They were pursued and the car crashed into a house. The occupants of the vehicle began firing at the police, who returned the fire, and three men ran from the car to the back of the house. Wilmot, Holdham, Mckie was later held by the police and were taken into custody.
On Friday, September 13 they were subsequently charged after a question-and-answer session was conducted.
Their court date is being finalized.
