Trelawny Man Charged

Twenty-year-old Demani Brissett labourer otherwise called ‘Pecko’ of Country district, Bounty Hall, Trelawny has been charged with Burglary and Larceny in relation to an incident in his community on Thursday, August 1.

Reports from the  Police  are that about 2:00 a.m., a woman securely locked her home  and business establishment then retired to bed.  She opened the business the following day and discovered several items out of place, and $65,000.00JMD missing. The CCTV footage  showed Brissett gaining access to the premises through a window, and leaving through same after stealing the money.

A report was made to the police and on Moday, August 12  and Brissett  was apprehened by residents and handed over to the police. He was subsequently charged after a caution statement and a question and answer session.

 

 He is scheduled to appear in the Clarks Town Parish Court on Monday, August 19.
