January 28, 2021 –Detectives in Trelawny charged a woman with Accessory After the Fact after she hid a man that was wanted for the murder of a 4-year-old girl, committed in Freeman’s district in the parish on Friday, January 22.
The woman has been identified as 42-year-old Joan Turner, otherwise called ‘Miss Wray’, of Freeman’s Hall in the parish.
Reports are that about 5:30 p.m., Kevin Williams, otherwise called ‘Bug Head’, was being sought by the Police when Turner hid him in a closet in her bedroom and told the Police she had not seen him. Williams was later found and taken into custody where he was charged with Murder. Turner was subsequently arrested and charged.
Meanwhile, citizens are being reminded that it is a criminal offence to harbour criminals.
