TRUCK DRIVER CHARGED WITH EMBEZZLEMENT
Thirty-six-year-old truck driver Sean Orridge of Begonia Lodge, Linstead, St Catherine, has been charged with Embezzlement and Larceny as a Servant following an incident in St Ann’s Bay, St Ann, on Friday, December 12.
Reports from the St. Ann’s Bay Police are that Orridge, who was contracted to deliver goods and collect payment on behalf of a company he was employed by, received $301,812.00. He failed to hand over the sum and could not give an account of where it was. A report was made to the police, following which Orridge was taken into custody.
He was charged after he gave a caution statement in the presence of two Justices of the Peace on Sunday, January 11.
He is scheduled to appear in the St Catherine Parish Court on Friday, January 16.
