Lawmen assigned to the Trelawny Policing Division have charged a man and a woman with Wounding with Intent following an incident in Water Square, Falmouth, in the parish on Thursday, February 06.

Charged are 35-year-old Tiosha Cooke, a bartender of Market Street, Falmouth, Trelawny, and 35-year-old Jordan Clarke of Vanzi, Falmouth, in the parish.

Reports from the Falmouth Police are that at about 8:00 p.m., a woman who was in an intimate relationship with Clarke approached him. However, she was intercepted by Cooke, who kicked her. Clarke then held onto the woman, restricting her movements, while Cooke used a knife to inflict stab wounds on her. Both Cooke and Clarke fled the scene. The woman was later assisted to the hospital, where she was admitted for treatment.

A report was made to the police, and an investigation was launched, which led to the arrest and charge of both accused.

Their court date is being finalized.
