Two Manchester Men Charged with Murder

A team of officers assigned to the Manchester Police Division have charged two men with the murder of a man and the injury of two others that occurred at a bar on Green Street, Knockpatrick in the parish on Monday, September 9.

Dead is 46-year-old Kevin Brown otherwise called ‘Threes’, or ‘Indian’ a carpenter of Green Street, Knockpatrick, Manchester.

Charged are 18-year-old Sanjay Williams a labourer of Green Street, Knockpatrick and 21-year-old Andre Williams also a labourer of Hillside district, Knockpatrick, both in Manchester. In addition to the murder of Brown, the men were also charged with possession of prohibited weapon, unauthorised possession of ammunition and using a firearm to commit a felony.

Reports are that about 10:00 p.m., Brown was among a group of patrons at the establishment, when three masked gunmen walked up, entered the bar and opened fire hitting Brown and two other men. The police were alerted and, on their arrival, all three men were taken to the hospital where Brown was pronounced dead and the other two men were admitted for treatment.

Subsequent to the investigation, both men were arrested. They were charged on Saturday, September 14 after an interview session was conducted in the presence of their attorneys.

Their court date has not been finalised and their accomplice is currently being sought by the police.
