WANTED MAN CAPTURED IN PORTLAND DURING INTELLIGENCE-LED OPERATION

During an intelligence-led operation in the Snow Hill area of Portland, a police team from the St Mary Policing Division apprehended 33-year-old Jason Anderson, otherwise called ‘Skidda’ or ‘Skebo of Sandside district, Port Maria, St Mary, and Hilltop, Snow Hill, Portland, on Thursday, May 8.

Anderson, who was wanted in connection with a 2022 shooting incident in Sandside, St Mary, was later charged with Illegal Possession of Firearm, Illegal Possession of Ammunition and Wounding with Intent.

On March 9, 2022, Anderson allegedly shot and injured a construction worker in the Sandside community after an argument developed between him and another man. Anderson allegedly issued a threat to the man and returned with a firearm, which he used to fire at the man.

Anderson, who was apprehended at about 9:45 a.m. on Thursday, May 8, is scheduled to appear in the Port Maria Parish Court on Thursday, May 15.
